Add A New Item in CrossPostIt

You’ve already imported your existing listings from eBay – piece of cake, right? But since we’re going to be working together for a long time, you’ll need to know how to add a new item straight from CrossPostIt too. We’re going to show you how easy it is to create new inventory in CrossPostIt, and you may even learn a few tips to enhance your listings along the way.

To add a single item, click Items, Add Items and scroll down to Item Details. We’ll start by adding an Item Title. You have 80 characters, so be sure to use them wisely. Think about how your customers are going to search for your item. Don’t waste those precious characters with a lot fluff or unnecessary punctuation.

Categories are for internal use. Complete as many of the remaining fields as possible to make your listing more searchable.

Item details is where you can enter a detailed description of your item. Be honest and disclose any imperfections so that your buyer isn’t disappointed when they receive your item. You’ll want to include details like the brand name, designer, size, color, age, country of origin, features and condition – even if it repeats what you’ve already said in the title.

Tags and Employee Notes are great for internal communication purposes for companies that have separate people adding and listing items. These fields don’t get pushed to your listing.

Next, and possibly most importantly – add and edit Images! Make sure to take good quality photos – they’ll make buyers spend more time with your listing, and will ultimately result in more sales!

Your Item Specifics aren’t necessary, but can be great for reporting. You’re almost done!

Now select the marketplaces you’ll be listing to and set the prices. You can set different prices for different channels. Your item is now in queue for the marketplaces you’ve selected. You’ll just want to verify your item details. Enter the condition. Verify your payment information for this item, manage photos, select your listing format, and schedule your listing if you choose to.

Verify shipping for this item, flip the switch for returns, if you allow them and select any eBay add-on’s you’d like to use.

Hit “Preview” and the system verifies the item with eBay and will let you know if there are any issues. Viola! You can Send your Listings to eBay!

Oh and by the way, you can also import bulk items. Just click Items, Import items and follow the instructions on the screen. Happy selling!
